Music Producer Pro – Full Review

April 23, 2010

Let’s be honest. The number of music production software that are being rushed into the market have made the air very dusty which has blurred the vision of people looking for the perfect software. There are two ways which can help you find the right software for producing music. One way is to try out each and every program that is available. The second is to read reviews.

Many companies hire people to write ‘oh-this-product-dropped-from-the-heavens’ reviews; easily misleading people into making wrong choices. The two factors which will help you find an honest and unbiased review is your judgment and your luck. I am writing this review according to the way I see Music Producer Pro. You can take. You can leave it. The choice is obviously yours.

Now let us see if Music Producer Pro stands up to its name.

Upon seeing the interface when I ran the program on my computer for the first time, it was nice to know that there are some sensible software engineers out there to whom it’s just not about slapping the program in the face of the user. A neat and concise layout set a welcoming tone for further exploration of the software. After spending a minutes, thirty-five to be more precise, I was effortlessly and directly able to find which ever option I wanted. In other words I did not have to click the drop down boxes here and there to find what I was looking for.

Secondly, a library of tutorials and information is available. Surprisingly there were many tutorials that were not about Music Maker Pro but about the art of making production. These are available in both visual and written formats. I would not be exaggerating if I told you that the total size of these tutorials by far surpasses the actual size of many music production programs added together. These detailed and easy-to-follow tutorials help to hit the ground running in the field of music production.

The Pros:
The cost of the program was as much as I would spend if I went out to eat alone. The day when I purchased the program, I went out for a nice lunch to celebrate the fact that I got the program so cheap! You also have a 60 day money back guarantee.

Music Producer Pro, unlike many other music production software, supports many genres of music. Whether you are into hip-hop, rap or rock, this software can help you do that very well.

The Cons:
The sad thing is that if I do not point out at least two bad things, readers will be like “Oh this review is so biased!” For the benefit of these people, I will force out a negative point. Music Producer Pro would need you to upgrade your computer if your ram is less than 512 Megabytes and if your processing power is less than 2 GHz. The modern day computers mostly go beyond the minimum specifications mentioned here.

The Final Word:
In conclusion, I would recommend Music Producer Pro to any one looking for good music production software. I would rate it 4 stars out of 5, keeping the pessimists in mind. I hope this review helps you in purchasing the right program to set you on your way to musical stardom!

Music Production Software Exposed – What The Top Producers Use!

April 21, 2010

Website: www.musicproducerpro.net

I don’t know if you all are aware but some of the biggest rappers are now rapping on FL Studio beats. Jay Z kicked it off with 9th Wonder. Then came Franchise Boys, Crime Mob, & Soulja Boy on FL Studio. And now Drake’s producer Boi 1da who made “Forever” with Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Eminem is repping FL Studio.

I personally started off with hardware (MPC 2000XL / Motif) then i gradually moved to software. I think with everyone scrambling for Soulja Boy & Boi 1da’s beats now FL Studio is finally getting the Co-Signs that it needs to be a real force in “High End” music production and not just for bedroom producers & amatuer hobbyist.

I post this just to give yall a FYI on what’s going on and in no way am i telling you to use FL Studio if you want to make hot beats. I use all kinds of beat makng software & sequencers and there is no “magic hit maker” out there. You must learn your craft & study the game and it doesn’t matter if you rocking Hardware or Software. Hot Beats are Hot Beats, plain & simple.

The purpose of this post is to show how software only producers are finally being taken serious. FYI – Even Dr. Dre is rocking Reason now.

Major Labels Are Looking For Interns .. Get Your Place!

April 18, 2010

Website: www.musicproducerpro.net

Getting a internship at a Major Record Label may sound like something that is hard to do however it isn’t as hard as it seems. I am going to be blunt, it comes down to you producing what the listener wants to hear and what the record label wants to hear. You could be mega talented and could be able to do some crazy keys on the keyboard however you may not be what the record label is looking for however, if you ever got in front of a record label you do not want to make the mistake in playing them something that is not what they want to hear.

Learning what the listener wants to hear is the key to getting an internship in a major record label because if the listener does not what to hear it they are not going to buy it. So if they record label doesn’t feel it and they have years and years of experience, more than likely the listener is not going to feel it however you have to master the key to success in a major record label and that is learning how to make music for the listener.

You could be producing any genre of music because there is a market for everybody out there; it just has to be good enough. It could be that you do have the talent and are ready, however the industry isn’t ready or you could really need help producing music before your ready for major exposure. It all ties down to one thing, producing music that listener wants to hear.

April 16, 2010

Website – www.musicproducerpro.net

When it comes to what is popular in any chart weather it be pop, rnb, hip hop, rock .. anything! Auto Tune always seems to be the thing that gets these people these hit records and why.. it’s not exactly them singing is it.. so why are you not doing what they are doing to make some hit records and take over the world. If rappers like Drake can make a few songs using Autotune and is now looked at like he can actually sing.. i would say jump on the bandwagon.. it’s what the listener wants to hear that counts when it comes to making hit records, if your making music for yourself and don’t want to sell out this article won’t help you.

Autotune is a tool that was created many years ago and only a few artists like Zapp & Roger were using it on tracks like computer love. But now it’s used like mad to create hit records that teens are buying.. downloading and sharing with friends. Face it! Look in the charts.. at least 7 of the top 10 records use Autotune and why.. because it SELLS! Kanye West made a whole album using Autotune and went to number 1 with it.. it’s something that you cannot avoid!

How do you use Autotune? Well it’s basically you trying hit the note you want to and trying to hold it, you will need some kind of singing skill if you actually want it to be perfect but a mistake here or there the listener wouldnt even notice. Use some compression and echo or something and your good to go! It’s as simple as that.. the next step. Finding the lyrics for the song.. Autotune doesn’t do it all for you lol.

If you would like to learn how to use Autotune, please visitwww.musicproducerpro.net

10 Things To Get You Noticed By Major Record Labels

April 16, 2010

Website – www.musicproducerpro.net

1) Following the Billboards is essential stuff that all people that want to get signed should be doing as a standard – it’s very important to know what is going on around in the popular charts. http://www.billboard.com

2) Getting serious about producing/songwriting – Find the part of the music industry that you want to get into and actually start doing it everyday. No slacking, no excuses.. It is your career at the end of the day.. and don’t ever for a second think because Beyonce has money shes not making music everyday.. FACT!

3) Setting your place of work – It’s essential that you have a place where you make your songs or produce your music, some people like to write songs here and there.. find your place where you can focus and get stuff down. Sometimes you may come to a mental block – go outside for a couple hours and get a break then try again.. simple stuff works.

4) Be productive, set goals. If you want to make a mix cd or have a collection of songs you want to have done.. start setting deadlines! Don’t think when your signed you can just sit around, you will have a deadline the label wants that album done by! And you will have to come up with fresh shit. No slipping.. you will be in the world of world class artists.. if you ain’t up to scratch you will be dropped!!!!

5) Have your work available online for your audience and do EVERYTHING possible with that. A good way to do this is just check all your favorite artist myspaces, website etc out and whatever they are doing.. if possible just go do too. You need to be on the MAP.. you need to do it NOW!! Do not expect shit to just happen for you because your lucky i’m even telling you this shit.. and your boy who makes better beats then you is prob making beats everyday hoping you don’t start!! Cause he knows the KEY!! Make sure your myspace is up.. your on tweeter.. and when your ready .. push your shit on iTunes.. its cheap these days.

6) Quality over Quantity .. i know i said it’s all about having loads of songs made etc.. however remember the quality of what your saying always comes first. Everyone is quality of rushing shit sometimes because you just wanna hear what it sounds like.. but trust.. quality is always better!! How often do you hear something on the radio you can’t understand because the person is mumbling.. hardly ever! End of.

7) Build a team.. you must have heard the saying .. one man cant do everything.. but everyone can do something. You need a team to push your shit when your not there to, a team to push your music to people you don’t know and you do the same back. Teams are essential in the music biz.. Look at your favourite artist.. i’m sure there in a team somewhere down the line..

8) Demos – Make sure you get your stuff down and ready, you never know who you may want your music and you never know whos hands it may fall into.. and once you have a demo done.. ALWAYS keep at least 5 copies on you everywhere you go. You are the main promoter of your shit.. be on form bra.

9) Make sure you learn how to produce music, how to make beats and even how to sing if your not good before using all of these tips.. or you will be laughed at. Be confident within yourself.. if anything.. feel free to comment on this post and i will listen to your stuff and give you some honest feedback. But knowing what your doing is Essential.. The music industry is full of professionals.. for example.. Souljaboy may not be the best musician in the world however he knows what his doing in the studio to make a hit record.. do you? If not go learn right now!!!!

10) BE YOURSELFFFFFFFF…. 100% INSIDE AND OUT..

Learn How To Make Hot Music Like Timbaland & Dr Dre

April 16, 2010

Website – www.musicproducerpro.net

A lot of people would like to know how Timbaland gets his tracks to sound so unique. While he is an amazing producer. One of the major keys to his success is his relentless search for new sounds. Timbaland uses a sound library that makes an amateur producer look like he is using a kids keyboard. To get the sounds that made Justin Timberlakes last two albums slam, you are going to have to look for synths or synthesizers. Two of Timbaland’s favorite are the Vanguard and a synth from Re FX. They were actually made popular by techno producers.

Don’t expect Timbaland to stay their for long though. While you may be able to make tracks like him, He got their first. Labels and publisher are looking for what will be hot in 2 or 3 years not now. If you are an artist, Google chasetrackmusic.com Their is an up and coming producer named Chase McMorrough that has producer some really hot Timbaland style beats, and he is still in the underground so you can get a track, although not for long, for only a couple thousand. We used one for one of our artist. It was the one that got her a deal.

Another great trick to get drums to hit harder is to layer your kick with another 1/32 off time, and change the attack to hard. It really make the beat jump. Hope fully this information was helpful to you. I am going to recommend some materials for you if you are just getting started or even already in the game.

Fruity Loops, Reason, Pro Tools, Logic PLUS Many More Tutorials!!

April 16, 2010

Website – www.musicproducerpro.net

Music Production Software is the first thing a new producer is looking for, it allows the producer to create music. The question i hear the most is what Music Production Software is the best? Fruity Loops (FL Studio), Reason, Logic Pro or Protools.

Fruity Loops

Fruity Loops is a great piece of software used from beginner producers to advanced producers. It’s rate highly due to the VST’s you can add, Fruity Loops doesn’t just stay within itself.. You can add so many things to it to make it a powerful music production workshop. Most professionals frown at fruity loops but believe me a hit record is produced in fruity loops everyday. Below is a website where you can find tutorials on how to use fruity loops.

Reason

Reason is properly my favourite because every single sample included in the software is perfect. Reason is normally used by producers that already have an idea of how to make music and advanced producers. The sound quality you can get out of reason is top notch and ready for radio play, it is recommended however you have to stay within reason. You cannot add VST’s and Plugins, however you can add samples to NNXT and Redrum. Below is a website where you can find tutorials on how to use Reason.

Logic Pro

Logic Pro is properly the most used music production software by Apple. It is used in almost every single record studio, it is the music industry standard piece of software. Saying that it is not the easiest to learn and master but the results are amazing. Logic allows you to produce music, add vocals and use VST’s and plug ins all within one single session so you don’t have to use multiple pieces of software to create a full track. Below is a website where you can find tutorials on how to use Logic Pro.

Pro Tools

Pro Tools is like Logic Pro. Industry standard. Pro Tools is normally used by producers that use instruments and hardware that require live recording to get sounds into the song. Pro Tools allows you to also like Logic do everything within one program, supports almost everything you throw at it. It is the worlds best but it also comes at a price and if you can afford it check it out, however don’t buy it for the name and expect to make hits. Below is a website where you can find tutorials on how to use Pro Tools.

I hope this helps you when picking your music production software.
